Important Dimensions

Please note that although our trailers are designed with the intention of been universal, there are many different trolley designs for different types of boats. We suggest that you check to make sure your trolley fits on the road base before purchasing. Normally the important parts are the length of the axle and the position of the trolley wheels. If you have any questions please email or call us. Alternatively why not buy one of our trolleys for a guaranteed great fit.

Distance between the mud guards 1530mm If the outside of your trolley wheels are further apart, your trolley will still fit but you will need to remove the trolley wheels.
Width of the trailer frame 1245mm If the inside of your trolley wheels are closer, then you will need to remove the trolley wheels when you put the boat on the trailer.
Width of the roller 1190mm The distance from the outside of your side arms where they join the axle of your trolley need to be less, otherwise the trolley won't fit.

Hi Nick The Compact Roadbase has 8" road wheels. I see you wish to carry a Feva and an Aero, whilst the Feva will fit the Aero will be too long. I suggest you go for the Vario1 which will carry both, it also has 8" wheels. There is a heavy duty version of the Vario1 which has 10" wheels but this will be overkill for your boats. David Gebhard

Hi and thanks for your enquiry.  This Trailer will not take a Laser, it is designed for boats up to 11ft 6 long maximum. You will need to look at the Vario 1 EU Road Base Trailer. These Trailers are 'Road Bases' so you will need the boat to sit on a Trolley and the Trolley sits on the Road Base Trailer.  Hope this helps.Jake

Hi Jonathan,No the Feva trolley is too long for the Compact road base, you will need a Vario 1 road base which will carry trolleys designed for boats up to 14 and a half feet longRegardsDavid

Hi Adam A 10 inch wheel will go round less on a journey. I always thought my 10 inch wheeled trailer was superior in smoothness however I had previously used very old trailers with 8" wheels , I recently made an 800 mile round trip with a Laser on a newer 8" wheeled trailer and I hardly knew it was there it was so smooth. I took the smaller trailer as it is smaller and lighter to handle, with lighter weight suspension units possibly better suited to a light weight boat and the spare wheel takes up less space in the car boot. So to answer your question either will do it's more to do with what you feel more comfortable with Regards David

Hi Spencer We do ship worldwide however I can't remember shipping a trailer direct to the USA. I believe you use a 2 inch ball and hitch and we have a 50mm, the lighting board has a 7 pin plug, that's about as much as I know and we really haven't researched the American trailer requirements or if they differ from state to state Regards David
