Trident Holt Topper Downhaul 6:1 Triple Block System

Part of the Trident Topper Race System. We have introduced these systems as a lower cost option to the Harken and Ronstan versions, using the same setup, but with lower cost alternative blocks. This system offers fantastic value for money with performance equal to the 'known' brands

NEW Upgraded Trident Topper Race Downhaul with multi angle fairlead and triple blocks offering excellent value. It uses Holt's 20mm Ball Race Blocks, which are designed with lightweight and and high loads in mind.

The system clips to the mast with a swivel snap shackle giving extra clearance between the kicking strap and allowing the control line to be easily sided when tacking.
It clips to the sail using an asymmetric Carbine hook which puts an even load on the sails webbing strap, this top hook is fitted with a retainer to keep the hook captive and help prevent it from capsizing.

Using a triple block setup allows for a greater range of travel, unlike a cascading system where the blocks can end up block bound. The system is rigged with a natural twist so the top block runs smoothly past the boom, doing away with the need for a clearing strop from block to hook making it ideal for varying wind strengths without having to adjust the setup

Supplied pre-assembled ready to clip onto your mast and sail. Rope length is set to the new style sails with webbing strops for the downhaul, if you have an old style sail with a cringle please let us know and we'll supply the correct length for your sail. The downhaul is an extremely important tool to control the sail and balance of the rig for maximum speed

Notes

• Lubricating your mast with dry lube will help the sail move as this control is used
• Keep your system clean and free of salt and grit
• Always check and make sure the Carbine hook is closed properly.
• The Carbine hook is at it's strongest when the sail's webbing sits away from the opening gate
