Customer Questions
Hi DaveThere is no ferrule in the gaff elastic, it is made up of a piece of shockcord and a clampThe clamp is a stainless steel clamp supplied by Bainbridge Marine (market leaders in marine hardware). As the clamp needs to bend and wrap around the shockcord I don't know what grade of stainless it is as I suspect it will be a mix of metals to make it pliable, that said even stainless will rust in certain conditions.I hope that helpsDavid
