Description

A lightweight double stacking trailer designed for smaller dinghies upto 14ft 6inch (440cm). Complete with jockey wheel and 'Mini' sized 10" road wheels.

For boats with one-piece masts a mast support is required.

Suitable for Lasers and other similar sized single handers and many more.

The internal rear opening maximum width and height are dependant on each other.

  • The maximum height is 690mm, if your width is less than 1450mm.
  • The maximum width is 1750mm, if your height is less than 610mm.
  • These measurements vary because of a triangular bracket on the inside top corners.

Please remember that the height of your boat is from the axle of the trolley to the deck line.

The trailer is hot dipped galvanized to provide long lasting protection against rusting.

Rated at 500Kg.

Hi, thanks for the question, the double stacker weighs about 120kgs, and a gunwale hung trolley (i have used the laser trolley) will weigh about 27kgs, so for all 3 items you would be looking at around 175kgs. Many thanks, Kieran Parslow
Hi Andrew all our Trailers are EU approved (used be called EC). If you have a look at our other Trailers such as the Vario 1, you will see that the lighting board fits onto the back of the Trailer with two arms. This is how the Lighting Board is attached to the Double Stacker (apologies the picture needs  updating). This Trailer should be suitable for your Mersea Trolley however to guarantee that it will be suitable you could check the dimensions of the Mersea Trolley with our own 14ft6in Trolley if the dimensions exceeds our Trolley you will need the Large Double Stacking Trailer.  http://www.tridentuk.com/gb/product-standard-launching-trolley-upto-14ft6-trtra145lt.html follow the link to see diagrams of our 14ft6in Trolley. Feel free to get in contact if you have more questions.Regards.Jake Gebhard
Hi ThierryIf you give me the maximum width of the lower/narrower boat I'll check to see if it will fit in the standard trailer or if we have to make a wider versionThe trailers are shipped flat packed so France is possible and I would need an address to give an accurate quote but I would guess at about £200 for delivery. We are in Newcastle upon Tyne (North East England) same place as Ovington BoatsI hope that helpsRegardsDavid
Hi Iain, the trailer is aimed at Lasers and other similar sized single handers. The RS Aero is a bit shorter but due to the adjustable front trolley locating pin there should be no problem fitting your boat on to it. David
Hi JamesI would expect our trailer to accept those trolleys relatively well, if they don't lock into the trailer they will then need to be tied down, you have to tie the boat down anyway so it's not such a big dealThe important measurement is the width of the outside of the trolley side arms at the axle as this is where it will sit inside the road base and it doesn't want to be much bigger than 46 1/2 inches. What shape locating pin holes do your trolleys have?We don't have a lowering system trailer sorry but if it's just a Streaker on top it is probably easier just lifting it anyway. If you want to talk through it please feel free to call0191 4901736RegardsDavid Shilling
Hi Belinda and thanks for your enquiry. The weight of the Trailer is 110kgs. I hope this is helpful and if you require more information feel free to get back in touch. RegardsJake
Hi MarkThe trailer is designed to fit our trolleys and you can see the dimensions of the trolleys on the extra imagesBelow is a link to our Laser trolleyhttps://www.tridentuk.com/gb/product-laser-trolley-gunwhale-hung-trtra145ltl1.htmlI hope that helpsDavid
Hi Andrew The 29er would fit on top but not on the bottom Regards David Shilling
Hi Timothy The trolley locating pins are adjustable, they clamp along the draw bar. Yes you can remove the top but i wouldn't imagine it's something you'd want to do regularly The trailer has an axle and 500Kgs will be fine, you can adjust the tyre pressure to give a softer ride Regards David
Hi Tomas If the trailer was manufactured before 31-10-12 there was no requirement to have them conform and if this is the case you will need to take it to a test centre and have it tested If the trailer is manufactured after 31-10-12 it will have had a European certificate and it will either be a case of obtaining a copy from VOSA or re testing the trailer. The trailer will have a serial number on it and with that number we may be able to help further Regards David
Hi Glyn Distance between the mud guards is 1530mm. If the outside of your trolley wheels are further apart, your trolley may still fit but you will need to remove the trolley wheels. Regards David
Hi Steven, Yes the double stacker is perfect for two Mirrors. It is made to take trolleys for boats up to 14.5 feet long so there will be a little space at the front end and the trolley locating pins are adjustable so the shorter trolley will clip in fine, you also have the flexibility of towing other boats to Regards David
Hi Jo I haven't stock to measure but have a similar one here which stands at about 135cms tall plus whatever is on top of it. The base is similar to the Vario 1 HD which is:- Distance between the mud guards 1530mm If the outside of your trolley wheels are further apart, your trolley will still fit but you will need to remove the trolley wheels. Width of the trailer frame 1245mm If the inside of your trolley wheels are closer, then you will need to remove the trolley wheels when you put the boat on the trailer. Width of the roller 1190mm The distance from the outside of your side arms where they join the axle of your trolley need to be less, otherwise the trolley won't fit. Locating pin to roller 2620mm This is the maximum distance the locating pin can be set from the aft of the roller Trailer Dimensions and Capacity Unladen Trailer Weight 72Kg As supplied without optional extras. Gross Trailer Weight 500Kg Maximum Total weight of trailer including load. Maximum Payload 428Kg This is the maximum load that can be carried by the trailer, don't forget to include your trolley into this weight. Width 1920mm Maximum width of the trailer (this is at the mudguards) Length (with out lighting board) 3200mm Length of trailer with lighting board and brackets removed Length (with lighting board) 4450mm Length of trailer with lighting board and brackets fitted.
