Description
When older hulls become weak, often the best solution to a damaged floor is to use this kit. It does add a little weight but it does result in a good looking strong cockpit floor.

Hi Ollie Most of the time it comes with 5mm ply wood floor panels, sometimes we can't get 5mm (it's an unusual size) and supply 6mm instead Regards David

Hi Mary The new panels are glued to the inside/cockpit area of the old panels, hence the name double bottom floor. Any imperfections of the old panels are filled and fared on the outside Regards David
Hi Glen It does come with instructions and you do need to remove the floor battens, foot rest and also the thwart. You can leave the glass tape around the seams and just give it a good sand/key to help adhesion of the new parts Regards Dvaid
Hi Jack Yes Aerolite is used as the glue to bond the new to old. There are a number of ways to repair a rotten or damaged floor as this is one option. Epoxy could be used with some bonding fibres mixed in if you wish which would be a more costly option Regards David
