Capsize is an ever present risk in sailing dinghies. Whether due to inexperienced handling by those learning new skills, or a high performance boat being pushed beyond the limit, capsize can and will happen. The risk of damage and injury caused by capsize is greatly reduced by Crewsavers Mast Float. Designed in conjunction with sailing centres in both the UK and abroad, the float attaches to the top of the mast and provides 9 litres or 40 litres of buoyancy, greatly reducing the chance of the mast sinking and the boat fully inverting. It is the responsibility of the owner to select the correct buoyancy float for their boat to prevent it from inverting.
Please Note: Crewsaver Mast Floats do not guarantee to stop a boat inverting. The Mast Floats performance will be hindered by conditions of strong tide, wind or swell or incorrect safety procedure.
