The loop eye simply fits through itself on one side of the boom end fitting, runs through the clew eye of the sail and back through the boom end fitting giving a 2 to 1 purchase with the advantage of little friction from the thin coated line.
The line that runs through the cleat is 5mm polyester coated which the cleat can grip to.
Tip
We suggest tying a knot in the line at the maximum outhaul off position, this will allow easy adjustment to max off and also should the outhaul slip in the cleat or just not be adjusted properly you will only be at your max off position.
