The Laser 2, also known as the Laser II Fun, Laser II Regatta and the Laser Fun New Wave has a hull that looks like a stretched Laser which has been made bigger to accommodate a Bermudan sloop rig and a crew. The GRP hull, foils and rig remained pretty much the same through the name changes with options of a trapeze for the crew, a huge symmetrical spinnaker, the Laser II was built between 1978 and 1987
