The Laser 16 is a 16-foot GRP dinghy or day boat, built between 1986 and the mid-1990s. Featuring a retractable 29.5kg metal centreboard, which contributes significantly to the boat's overall weight of 250kg, it provides a solid and stable feel. This makes it ideally suited for cruising with family and friends, and it remains a popular choice today. The Bermudan sloop rig includes a furling jib and two rows of slab mainsail reefing. Additional features include built-in buoyancy in the bow, enclosed side decks, a self-draining cockpit with holes in the full-height transom, and optional extras such as a rear locker, outboard bracket, swim ladder, and symmetric spinnaker kit.
