Customer Questions
Hi, sorry to hear that the rope is too short. We will send you a longer piece of line. If you wouldn't mind however, please could you explain how you have sent this up? we have sold quite a few of these and never had a problem before. Also please could you advise if you are sailing single handed? Many thanks, Kieran Parslow
Hi ViggoThe furling system won't work if the jib is attached the the forestay. This system is designed to furl the sail so it can be put away easily, it is not a reefing system. If you want to reef the foresail then we do have systemshttps://www.tridentuk.com/gb/product-wayfarer-foresail-reefing-gear-ptm028.html And can tailor this to suit your needs, it may also be less expensive than the advertised priceRegardsDavid
Hi Alastair, Everything is supplied, you just need to fit it. Your present jib will be fine but you might need to get some longer jib sheets.
It sure will fit a Wanderer You will have to work out the best place to put the cleat and fairlead other than that no problem Regards David
Hi Justin Yes it comes with screws for the cleat and fairlead however this kit fits a number of dinghy classes and there is a small possibility you may have to alter how is fits and what fixings you use depending on your preference and the class of dinghy Regards David
Hi Jason Yes I would expect it to fit but you may want to check the bow fitting on the boat is suitable. If you are still concerned email a photo of your fitting and I'll confirm Regard David
Hi Sean We have a stainless stel version made by RWO and this is probably the last available https://www.tridentuk.com/gb/product-rwo-forestay-guide-rwr2070.html Or you could use an old cd, I believe they work well and are a larger diameter, failing that I have seen home made triangles with sail hanks on clipping them to halyard and forestay. Another trick is to add shockcord to your forestay from the bow around the eye in the forestay and back to the bow, this will keep the tension on the forestay and help it from catching in the sail, it does get congested in that area with the forestay rope https://www.tridentuk.com/gb/product-5-nylon-sail-hanks-al-a-144-5.html I hope that helps Regards David
