Customer Questions
Hi Nigel The lifejackets inflate by means of a gas cylinder which is activated automatically when the lifejacket is submerged or by pulling a toggle manually in the Manual version. For dinghy sailing, the harness version is not needed but a decision is needed as to whether to go for automatic in which case spare re-arming kits will be needed or to go for manual where fewer re-arming kits will be needed. Depending on the user and the type of sailing being done there is merits for either option. Thanks David

Hi JanineThis life jacket has no positive buoyancy until it is inflated. It is supplied with a cylinder to inflate it and an auto release cartridge which will set the cartridge off when submersed in water.Once used the lifejacket can be deflated, re packed and the cylinder and cartridge can be replacedI hope that helpsDavid
