Description

Mirror mainsail made from a firm finish fabric for ease of handling and durability.

Supplied complete with battens, sail logo, numbers and sailbag.

Rig Type

  • Gunter Rig - Choose this option if you have a Gaff on your boat, the sail will be supplied to suit with eyelets up the luff for the lacing.
  • Bermudian Rig - Choose this if you have a single mast 1 or 2 piece, the sail is supplied without eyelets on the luff.

For those windy days a row of reefs or a floatation head could be considered. The row of reefs allows the effective sail size to be reduced by approx 25% and if used in conjunction with a reefing kit this can easily be done while afloat.

The floatation head is a buoyant panel sewn into the head of the sail and helps prevent the boat inverting during a capsize.

Customer Questions
Hi JohnAt the moment we are contacting customer who order one to ask what rig it's to fit, however if you order one drop a note in Special Instructions and we'll add or leave eyelets out.If you have eyelets in to lace to a gaff it does still fit a Bermudan rig if you so wishFunny you should ask, it's on a list to sort out!RegardsDavid

Hi EleanorWe could put a row of reefs in a racing mainsail but I wouldn't recommend it as reefing would damage the racing fabric. We don't do a reefing kit for a Mirror but could put something together depending on how and when you will reef the boat.If you were to set the sail with a reef before you go sailing then you probably need very little however if you feel you may need to reef and shake the reef out while on the water you will need a lot moreEither email or call and we can run through the optionsRegardsDavid [email protected] 4901736

Hi Richard The material of the sails is listed in the description, you may need to scroll down the page to find it as there is a wealth of info on the page. A basic overview of shape difference is the racing sail is cut for best performance and the club sail is cut for longevity Regards David

Hi Sky The best way to find carriage costs is add items to your cart, then view cart and you should see a shipping calculator (may need to click the down arrow next to Estimate Shipping) which requires basic info and will give you the available options. If there are no shipping options given then email us exactly what you are looking for and a full delivery address and we'll ask our couriers for a quote and let you know the options Regards David

Hi Andy Yes ours are very much red, the pinkish ones are probably the Holt ones which hill be at least 30 years old now at a guess The reef is about 30 inches up from the foot - if memory serves me correctly Regards David

Hi Mary, I have no idea what this measurement would be sorry however I suspect you are asking as the luff rope on your current sail has shrunk which prevents the sail being hoisted fully and the result is the boom is very low at the back. Or you are attaching the tack too close to the boom which again makes the boom hand low at the back Regards David
